D. Jud Jones is just one of a number of aliases used by a filmmaker who seeks to avoid categorization and hopes that no one will ever be able to assemble a filmography of his works.

"People make lists of what you've done and think that your work defines you. They think that your track record is who you are. I prefer to believe that my work can exist independently of anything I may have done in the past or may do in the future."

Film Noir is an animated feature film written and co-directed by D. Jud Jones. It is the first and the only film that will be ever credited to that name.
